These terms govern your use of Cover Letter Tailor ("the Service"), operated as a sole-trader business. By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Cover Letter Tailor is an AI-assisted writing tool that generates cover letter drafts based on the resume and job description text you provide. The output is a starting point, not a finished document. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and taking ownership of anything you submit to an employer.
Free tier use requires no account. Paid access (subscription or credits) requires an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or use the Service on behalf of third parties for commercial resale purposes.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service.
Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused subscription time.
Credits are a one-time purchase with no expiry. Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable consumer law.

The cover letters produced by this Service are generated by an AI model (Anthropic Claude). We do not review individual outputs. The Service is a tool — the quality and accuracy of the output depends on the inputs you provide. We make no guarantee that a generated cover letter will result in an interview, job offer, or any other outcome.
You own the output generated from your inputs. We claim no intellectual property rights over cover letters produced for you.
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, or due to third-party outages (including the AI model provider). Planned downtime will be kept minimal. We are not liable for losses resulting from Service unavailability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cover Letter Tailor and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to lost job opportunities, reliance on AI-generated content, or data loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
The Cover Letter Tailor name, branding, system design, and website content (excluding user-generated outputs) are owned by the operator. You may not reproduce or repurpose them without permission.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
